Clerkship Interview Program

Clerking for a federal judge can be one of the most rewarding jobs that a young lawyer can have.  But for many law students—especially those who might not have many lawyers in their family—the interview process can be both challenging and unfamiliar.  To assist students at the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law navigate the clerkship interview process, the Separation of Powers Institute has developed the Clerkship Interview Program. 

Pursuant to SPI’s Clerkship Interview Program, any student at Catholic Law who has an interview scheduled with a federal judge may sign-up for a mock interview with SPI’s affiliated faculty.  Through this program SPI’s affiliated faculty bring their firsthand experience as former law clerks to conduct mock clerkship interviews and to provide students with related advice.
