Supreme Court Moot Program

The Separation of Powers Institute (SPI) offers a unique opportunity for Supreme Court advocates to prepare for oral argument through private moot court sessions hosted at Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.  These moots are designed to serve two purposes: first, they help Supreme Court advocates sharpen their arguments by receiving feedback from faculty with relevant experience and expertise, and second, the moots give Catholic Law students an extraordinary front-row seat to the appellate advocacy process at the highest level. Students attend the moots as observers, gaining exposure to the preparation and craft that goes into arguing before the Supreme Court. 

If you are an advocate with a case pending before the Supreme Court and are interested in arranging a moot through SPI, please contact Professor Squitieri at Squitieri@cua.edu.  All moot arrangements are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to scheduling availability.  Details of individual moots remain confidential.
