SPI Director Chad Squitieri has been named a recurring columnist for SCOTUSblog, where he will author a regular column examining administrative law, the separation of powers, and related topics. His debut essay, “Slaughter’s Vice,” analyzes the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Trump v. Slaughter, a case centered on the President’s removal power. “I wanted to make my first column particularly accessible for law students, so I started things off by hypothesizing a cold-call question relating to one of the Supreme Court’s recent cases from last term. It is a case that my administrative law students can expect to learn about later this year,” Professor Squitieri said.
In this role, he joins a distinguished group of recurring columnists who serve as professors at law schools including Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown. “I hope the column helps bring our law school to the attention of an even broader audience. Because I am quite proud of what our collective law school community has been accomplishing!” he added.
